The certificate for the course that you will take will be handed over to you within 4 weeks of the assessment that will be done after the completion of the course. Each course has a time period which is detailed under the Courses offered page.

5.   How do I join a free course? What documentation will I require?

To join any of our skill based programs, you will need to submit the following documents under our PMKVY, NULM and DDUGKY: Aadhar card (original), 4 Passport size photograph, educational proof (original 10 or 12 pass cert), bank passbook, and Ration Card/BPL card. In case of Specially-abled students we will need a government certificate detailing the students’ disability. For our Language courses, we will select candidates based on a face-to-face interview. If we need any documents after that we will convey the requirement to the candidate at that point in time.

6.   How do I get admission?

For the Skill development courses, we hold interactive sessions between students and trainers to assess the ability of the students who wish to join our skill based courses. At the assessment session, we also assess the skill set that you are interested in, so that we can guide you to make the right choice while choosing the course. If the trainers then decide that you are capable, and are in possession of relevant documents (or that you can organise them), you will then meet with our councillor who will further guide you. For the Language courses, a trainer or a counsellor will assess your Language abilities after a Basic English test. Based on your result, she/he will recommend a suitable course for you.

7.   How do I choose a course?

Once the trainer has spent time with you, she/he will recommend a course based on your qualifications and interest. You can then decide on the options available to you and make a decision.

8.   How much will I have to pay?

For DDUGKY, NULM, and PMKVY the course fee is borne by the Govt, through their respective agencies. Our students under the skill development courses do not pay any fee or associated charge. On the contrary they will be given some additional benefits like induction kits which will include t-shirts, jackets, stationary and conveyance charges etc. For more information please visit our Skill Centres page.
